The book succeeds in making the Camino feel like more than a physical walk—it becomes a metaphor for life, simplicity, and presence. It quietly encourages the reader to focus on reflection, which I believe is one of its greatest strengths.
Although I have not personally walked the Camino, nothing in the book felt exaggerated. In fact, one of its greatest strengths is its humility. You never claim to have found “the answer.” Instead, you simply share what the Camino revealed to you.
The book suggests that the Camino isn’t really about Spain. It’s about slowing down enough to hear yourself again and create a new impact in one’s life. That message comes across beautifully.
I believe this book has broad appeal—not only for those planning to walk the Camino, but for anyone interested in mindfulness, personal growth, simplicity, or spiritual reflection.
Overall, I found it to be a sincere, reflective, and inspiring manuscript.

For anyone who wonders what it is like to walk the Camino Francés, your book is a wonderful reflection of your journey and your feelings while walking. I would recommend this book, not as a “how-to”, but as a book that shares personal reflections that also includes philosophy and some useful resources that you used for your Way.

I particularly appreciate Enayet’s writing style — every insight, lesson, or observation stands in its own short sentence or paragraph. It makes the book an easy, enjoyable read while conveying wisdom from an elder and wise pilgrim — not just of the Camino, but of life itself.
The deepest resonance came from the idea of fully adapting to the Camino — reaching the point of complete surrender. You trust the path entirely: waking each day into the unknown, confident that food, shelter, and helpful people will appear, while you help others in turn. It’s about living each day to the fullest, then doing the same the next day, and the next.

“Walking the Camino” is an extraordinary book. I found myself thoroughly engaged in the journey, especially the spiritual reflections. The book brought back memories of my own journey and how difficult conditions can bring about internal change and, in many ways, complete change. The book is a fascinating guide to the daily activities of walking the Camino and if you seek to partake, I can’t think of a better guide.

I just finished reading Walking the Camino and felt grateful to be transported on the journey with you. Your manuscript is a blend of prose and poetry, with melodies that resonate throughout. The repeated descriptions of how the journey unfolds day by day reveal what’s already within you. I found it quite mesmerizing.
I feel inspired to go on the Camino trail after reading your book, and I expect it will be a whole different personal journey for me. The experiences are different, as you say, and your personal journey is very inspiring. I hope one day I can venture to take this trail.
I especially liked the ending, how you relate the experience with the spiritual musings of the different sages and saints—how appropriate for your journey.
