Camino Portuguese

After two years of hiatus I am back on the Camino once again. This time my companion is my great grand nephew. This is an opportunity for the two of us to bond and learn from each other. We arrived in Lisbon three days ago and proceeded to take on the sights and sounds of Lisbon.

Today we started our Camino from Lisbon. It was a hot day so we were happy that we started early to avoid some of the afternoon sun. Our journey began at the Cathedral in the Alfama district. We did about 21km and ended our day in Alpriat.

I will try and post every few days if I can find better Wi-Fi. Good to be back on the saddle again.

    Dear Enayet,
we are sitting in the Netherlands in our boat and just received your message that you are on the camino again.
Thank you for still having us on your trails distribution list.
We are glad hearing from you, that you are in europe, closed to Germany. Is there a chance that we see us? We will leave the netherlands approxiametly in the mid of october and return back to our flat in Mannheim. You and your great grand nephew are very welcome to visit us. We wish you both a great camino, good inspirations and may good bless you.
Warm greetings from Michael und Franziska

I wrote a nice, very long comment but had forgotten the password so lost it. Now trying to recreate that great, original inspiring message!!!

So nice to see you on the Camino again, especially with your great companion.

Question: what is better than doing the Camino?
Answer: Doing it again with your grand nephew!

I pray that you have good wifi everywhere so we do the Camino with you virtually and enjoy the great pictures!

Are you switching back and forth between the coastal route and inland route like we did or ?

How is the food? I miss the shrimps grilled with olive oul (olio de ? – can’t remember the name). Don’t forget to have the Pedron peppers!

    Keep it coming!

This is nice so no problem recreating. Thanks for the extra effort. It’s only our second day and still in Portugal so no Pedrona pepper or Gambas Al olio yet! We get the choice of coastal or central once we get to Porto. The only detour now will be Porto direct or through Fatima.
